e.l.f. Cares

e.l.f. Beauty is a bold disruptor with kind heart, with a purpose to make the world a better place for every eye, lip and face. Our purpose guides how we operate as a purpose-led, results-driven company with a mission to make the best of beauty accessible to every eye, lip and face.

Donations

Giving, the e.l.f.z way.

In FY25, e.l.f. Beauty donated more than $2.5 million to causes that matter β€” spanning boardroom diversity, animal welfare, health and wellness, women's empowerment, LGBTQ+ advocacy, disaster relief and more.

Employee Match

Program.

Every charitable donation made by an e.l.f. Beauty employee can be tripled (up to $500) β€” matched once by the company and once again by our CEO Tarang Amin and his wife Hirni. In FY25, our holiday employee match raised nearly $150,000 for 190 nonprofit organizations closest to our e.l.f.z hearts.

Our partners.

We give where it aligns most closely with our values β€” supporting NACD and NC A&T to advance boardroom diversity and partnering with organizations like Kindness.org, It Gets Better, the Humane Society and Look Good Feel Better.

Change the Board Game.

In 2024, e.l.f. Beauty launched β€œChange the Board Game,” a movement to spread awareness of the inequality that still exists on corporate boards. Sourcing with Standards

We believe that small, steady steps add up to lasting change. We're always looking at our business with fresh eyes and asking how we can care for the people and places behind our products and be good stewards of the planet we all share. For us, making the best of beauty accessible to every eye, lip and face isn't just about great products at accessible prices. It's about how we make them. Because doing it right matters just as much as doing it well.

Fair Trade

Fair Trade certification isn’t just part of our sourcing strategy, it’s core to who we are. For each product produced at a Fair Trade Certifiedβ„’ facility, we make a monetary contribution directly to the facility workers who made the product, funding programs and activities that benefit the workers and their communities.

FSC-Certified

Materials

We lean on Forest Stewardship Councilβ„’ (FSC) certification to guide how we source the paper and wood-based materials that show up across our products. Choosing FSC-certified materials is a big part of how we source responsibly, supporting sustainable forest management while helping protect biodiversity and keep forest ecosystems healthy and resilient. We're holding ourselves to two goals: 100% FSC-certified paper cartons and 100% FSC-certified wood brush handles and pencils.

Mica & Palm Oil

We're committed to responsibly sourcing the sensitive ingredients that go into our products. We know that the production of mica and palm oil derivatives can impact human rights and the environment, so we're focused on making sure our procurement practices directly address those challenges.

Mica and Palm

We're committed to responsibly sourcing the sensitive ingredients that go into our products. We recognize that the production of mica and palm oil derivatives can impact human rights and the environment, so we've made it our priority to ensure our procurement practices directly address those challenges.

Mica

Mica gives many of our pigmented products their shimmer and opacity, but it has been linked to human rights risks in certain regions of India. That's why we set a goal to responsibly source 100% of our mica, and we've achieved it. All Indian mica is sourced through Responsible Mica Initiative (RMI) members committed to a child-labor-free supply chain, with the remainder sourced with supplier documentation verifying acceptable labor practices.

Palm oil

Palm derivatives are used in a portion of our products, and we're committed to sourcing 100% of our palm oil derivatives from RSPO-certified sources by FY 2027.

Acting on Climate & Emissions

More solar. Less

carbon.

Renewable electricity adoption across our suppliers globally keeps climbing year over year, with several investing in on-site solar and reinforcing a shared commitment to lower-carbon operations.

Smarter moves.

Smaller footprint.

We're embracing lower-carbon logistics that are better for the planet. We choose ocean and rail over air whenever we can, use hydrogen-powered trucks for short port-to-warehouse runs, and keep tuning our distribution network to cut down on unnecessary miles.

Renewable

electricity

100% of our directly managed sites source renewable electricity, and we keep showing up for that commitment year after year. It's a small piece of our footprint, but it's where we can lead by example.

Smarter Packaging

sustainable packaging principles: design for recycling, use less, and choose smarter materials

Use Less Material

We seek to reduce the size and weight of our packaging (called β€œlight weighting”) to cut down on materials and emissions without compromising the experience.

Incorporate Recycled and Bio-based Content

We are starting to integrate recycled materials and bio-based resins into our packaging to reduce our reliance on virgin plastic and increased the circularity of our products.

Design for Recycling’s Future

We opt for recyclable plastic resins, and although many of our products are too small to be accepted by today’s recycling systems, we’re preparing for tomorrow’s improvements in recycling infrastructure.
